Biography
Mr. Shiffman concentrates his practice on family law and mediation. His focus is on helping clients get through their most painful and emotional life issues in as positive, thorough, and successful a manner as possible. He has handled cases involving divorce, custody, adoption, same-sex step-parent adoption, post-divorce issues, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, child support, and most everything else found under the family law umbrella. He has also been appointed as a friend of court and served as mediator in many cases. He has also successfully argued cases to the Kentucky Court of Appeals and enjoys appellate work.
Mr. Shiffman believes strongly in mediation as a way to resolve family law disputes, so much so that he also is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville Ackerson Law Clinic, where he teaches 2nd and 3rd-year law students in a Mediation Clinic. Corey grew up in Louisville and graduated from duPont Manual High School. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and the University of Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in all counties in Kentucky and in federal court, specifically the Western District of Kentucky.
